Traditional-Style Screened Porch with Outdoor Stone Fireplace

Summary

              Located in Sykesville, Maryland, this screened porch design features a typical screened porch add-on technology package and a flagstone patio. The 360 square foot porch is elevated, with wood latticework beneath the deck and white vinyl trim all around. It also includes a small staircase with a graspable handrail for easy access to the roughly 400 square foot flagstone patio. The screened-in porch features a gable roof design with an open cathedral ceiling and stained knotty cedar wood, with the 6" x 6" wrapped in white vinyl.

              Inside the screened porch, the knotty cedar ceiling is illuminated by Trex recessed lights, which are accompanied by a designer ceiling fan mounted to the apex of the cathedral ceiling. Atmospheric lighting is also available via the steel insert custom stone fireplace, which makes the porch usable more year-round as well as more of an entertaining center with its mounted high-definition television. The fireplace also employs reclaimed driftwood as a classy mantle shelf for plants or decorations.
