AZEK Low-Maintenance PVC Deck in Howard County, Maryland

This custom deck was built in Fulton, Maryland from the ground up. It features a beautiful low-maintenance AZEK decking of the fawn and kona color variety. Its round contours and custom leaf inlay exude personality and class.

To achieve the deck's flowing profile, the AZEK material was heated and bent into place (video here) to create the round contours. The custom shoreline round handrails follow its curved perimeter, while black balusters provided by Deckorators sport a basket weave that complement the rails' fleur de lis center pieces to make both design elements stand out. Hidden fasteners were used to preserve a clean look.

Underneath the deck you can see where the eight-inch fiberglass columns and a vinyl bead board ceiling were installed. This serves to keep the area dry during incliminate weather, a feature that will come especially useful when a patio area is installed. Other features of the under-deck area include pressure-treated posts (concealed within the columns), scalloped trimming, and vinyl crown molds for functional yet aesthetically pleasing utility.
